Epiphany under the snowflakes, and a pair of Matryoshkas

Merry Epiphany to all of you!

Well, I know, Epiphany is not celebrated worldwide... it is an important festivity in Italy, but I don't know where else is celebrated...can someone tell me?
Here in Italy an old woman (she's very similar to a witch) brings good children sweets and brings rascal children coal... =)
Today when I woke up I found a completely white landscape... I was amazed! *O* I love snow!
Here I show you some funny photos I made today. This afternoon my sister and I went out in the garden to play with the snow!

Buona Epifania a tutti!

Me!

Pallina, our neighbours' cat
Pallina, la gatta dei nostri vicini

She just wants to give me a paw in making our snowman =P

Pallina helps my sister in making the snowman's hair!
Pallina aiuta mia sorella a fare i capelli del pupazzo =)

My sister and our -sooo ugly!- snowman!

Our ugly snowman and me =)
Il nostro orrendo pupazzo e me!

And know, one of my latest creation.

From the "What's the Weather Today?" series, this pair of earrings is named "It's a Cloudy Day" with two sweet Matryoshka dolls. They're pearl light-blue Matryoshkas (Russian Dolls); the bodies are made of FIMO (polymer clay); the eyes, the hair, the mouths and the decorations on their bodies (little cute clouds) are handpainted by me with acrylics with love and care! They're varnished with a special gloss lacquer for polymer clay after baking.

You can find it in my DaWanda shop!

For more information contact me at petitefraise@live.it . And if you want, comment me here, it's a pleasure reading your opinions!

Finally I I remind you that in my Etsy shop the FREE SHIPPING promotion is continuing! This offer will be over on January, 09 so hurry up!

Se volete ulteriori informazioni, contattatemi pure all'indirizzo e-mail petitefraise@live.it .

Kisses!

Happy Epiphany to you :)

Today we celebrate the day the three Wise Men visited Jesus (el dia de los Reyes Magos). We bake a round oval shaped bread (it looks a little like a wreath) with a tiny baby doll in it and whoever gets the piece with the doll has to make dinner for the rest of the party at a later date. It's a Mexican/Catholic custom. Is it the same as Epiphany?

I've never seen a cat in the snow before! Thank you for sharing that. Your earrings are very cute, I love babushka nesting dolls and your snow man wasn't ugly at all. :)

If you prefer we can speak in English, or even in French!
I know that in UK Epiphany isn't celebrated, because a friend of mine studies in London and they didn't celebrate, so I wondered where else Epiphany is considered a festivity! =)
Mmm yes please, I'd be very happy if you give me the recipe! =) Thank you, you're so nice!
Please come back here when you want, you'll always be welcome!

@Gabbi: Thank you so much!
Your Epiphany tradition is really interesting! The festivity is the same (with the three Wise Men), but here in Italy we haven't that bread with the tiny doll inside =( We eat Panettone or Pandoro, two tipical italian sweets, as at Christmas Day! Do you know them?

@Francesca: grazie cara! =(
